Well, next week Wednesday I will be travelling to Austin, TX. Though I am not a huge fan of Texas, I have had some good times there in the past. And since I have never been to Austin, I am sure this will be fun. Not to mention...everything is bigger in Texas!!!
Does anybody else notice how exhausting travelling can be? I feel like this is the first time in a month that I will get to rest in my own home! I learned a valuable lesson though...even though it may seem like a great idea to plan multiple trips within mere weeks of each other, it is not a good idea! The stress from work alone makes it not a good idea. However, I still believe that taking short trips like my NYC trip is harder on you than longer trips. It's like you are stuck in limbo with the time change. I am just fortunate today that I know what day it is...lack of sleep.
I had a good time with my little sis though. The fireworks were amazing! And NYC is always a fun town! I swear if it wasn't so expensive to live there, I would move. I think New Yorkers are fabulous! Nothing like a chain smoker bunch of workaholics!
Hopefully, I will get some pictures up soon. The pics are on Lisa's camera and I have to wait to get copies sent to me. Until then, have a great week!
Ok well in less than 48 hours I will be leaving for a much needed vacation. I am flying back to my redneck, small town, country girl roots this Saturday. Look out Wisconsin here comes Amy...and ladies lock up your husbands and boyfriends (ha ha). It is difficult travelling home, those of you who live far from your roots will understand this. It is wonderful to get to see everybody, but when you are done visiting you are completely exhausted. It is work to go on vacation back home. I think my schedule is more hectic when I am on vacation in Wisconsin than when I am at work. Still, I shouldn't complain because I am very lucky to have great friends and family in my life.
So here I go...gotta conjure up nice, wholesome, Wisconsin Amy. See everybody in Cali in 9 days!
